IF you think the first edition of Zoo Weekly, out today, is raunchy, spare a thought for our British cousins.

Mag editor Paul Merrill told The Eye that the British version, which was launched two years ago, had one major difference.

"Men the world over are pretty much the same although the UK edition is a bit racier," he said.

"There's already a heritage of page three girls and that sort of thing in the UK, so the men there expect a little bit more flesh.

"The Aussie version is going to be a bit more balanced."

But that's not to say you won't see any flesh, boys.

Imogen Bailey heads a long list of beautiful women appearing in it.

An Emap Australia publication, the Zoo Weekly format has been modelled on the British title of the same name, which sells more than 260,000 copies each week.

In Australia, Emap is planning to sell 70,000 copies a week.

Model Imogen Bailey has signed on as a relationship columnist and former professional cricketer David Boon will write sport for the magazine.
