Body of work becomes a tough act to follow

Emily Dunn meets the pint-sized lads'-mag favourite who is swapping careers.

LARGER than life on the cover of a lads' magazine, Imogen Bailey is all blonde hair, pneumatic body and come-hither pout.

In the flesh, the woman perhaps best known as the Australian model most likely to be photographed with her clothes off, is positively lilliputian, at a very un-model-like 155 centimetres.

Her height aside, Bailey is a poster-girl for the MAW (model, actress, whatever). She has competed in several reality television shows, including Popstars, Celebrity Big Brother and, in 2006, Celebrity Survivor, where she placed third. A vegetarian, she is "mother" to three elderly Maltese terriers - "one is deaf, one is blind and one is pure evil," - and has lent her image to several campaigns for animal welfare groups such as PETA and Animal Liberation NSW.

More recently she revealed she spent her early modelling years battling an eating disorder.
Now, after almost a decade of building brand Bailey by posing in next-to-nothing, the 31-year-old is in the process of a career change, from men's magazine maven to serious actor. However, Bailey, who studied marketing for three years, is discovering re-branding is much more difficult.

"If you are very successful in one part of the industry it is very difficult to change to something else," says Bailey, who spent six months this year acting in the Channel Ten soap Neighbours.

"I am not ashamed of any of the modelling I have done because I have worked damn hard to do it, but as far as jobs go, when you walk into an acting audition you are known as the model."
Bailey, who grew up in Canberra, says she never aspired to be a model or actor and it wasn't until her early 20s, at a party in Sydney, that she was approached by Duncan Bruce, then editor of Inside Sport magazine, for her first photo shoot.

"As a little girl I wanted to be a lawyer. I loved debating and was on all the debating teams," Bailey says.

"Modelling was something I fell into accidentally; it was never a planned thing. I was an extremely shy person … I said yes because I knew I needed the kick up the backside to get me out there. I still feel so different to the person who is on the cover of those magazines - it might be difficult to believe but I have been accused of being a prude."

Bailey has since lost count of the number of photo shoots she has done for publications such as Ralph, FHM and ZOO Weekly including, in 2006, a weekly relationship advice column for ZOO. She also posed nude for Playboy and Black+White magazines.

These days, between acting classes, auditions and celebrity appearances, Bailey devotes her time to her dogs, meditation, yoga and reading. She also dabbles in the sharemarket, a habit she picked up from her father.

"Acting is a bit like surfing: you are constantly waiting for that next wave, that next job. Dad had started dabbling in trading and I just watched and learnt from him," she says.

"I wanted something I could do between jobs, something I could do in the mornings. I think I have waited on enough tables and worked in enough bars … and the truth is I am a real nerd."
While she is yet to have any great success with the market, Bailey has also avoided a major loss.

"I have no money in the market now, thank God."

Next year she hopes to build on her Neighbours role, as well as several small film roles this year and says her ideal film would involve "plenty of stunt work … something I learnt to love on Celebrity Survivor".

Meanwhile she continues to work on distancing herself from her modelling profile.

"These days I am getting recognised more from my Neighbours work, which is good," she says.
"Girls who think they can fast-track an acting career by modelling should know that it makes it much harder - casting agents don't want a model."

Neighbours actress pleased by Brits

Aussie soap star Imogen Bailey - aka Neighbours' Nicola West - was recently in the UK for a promotional tour, and was overwhelmed by the positive response she got from fans.

"I felt really proud to be part of something that is so loved," Bailey told the Herald Sun.

"I had a little girl run up to me at the airport in Scotland shouting: 'Nicola, Nicola'. She was so excited to meet me, and that was a wonderful feeling.

She’s been called one of Australia’s sexiest models, but actress Imogen Bailey recently revealed her ugly battle with anorexia.

Bailey dropped below 40 kilograms before family and friends intervened and sought help for the actress.

Now healthy and happy, Bailey joined TODAY to talk about her experiences.

The star recently revealed she struggled with anorexia to Who Weekly magazine.

The Neighbours cast member said she was anorexic for approximately 12 months in 2000 and 2001.

“I was modelling at the time and being surrounded by other skinny women I got skinnier and skinnier and just thought it was normal,” said Bailey.

Bailey only realised she was anorexic when a client said some of her shots made her look too skinny after a modelling shoot.

Bailey sites a combination of factors leading to her battle.

“My career, being surrounded by other anorexics and the stress of a breakup from an unfaithful boyfriend,” said Bailey.

Bailey is critical of magazines for putting anorexic women on the covers as she believes this encourages other women to think that is what is needed to get on front covers.

“Girls need to know that what they see on TV and in magazines is not real. Lighting and photoshopping have such an impact that even the girls themselves don't really look like that.”
Anorexia is the third most common chronic illness among teenage girls, after obesity and asthma.

Make Yourself Beautiful for Animal Welfare

The World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA) in Australia is responsible for today’s Site of the Day, “Make Yourself Beautiful”, www.makeyourselfbeautiful.org.au

Visitors to the site are invited to draw a picture of a friend (having a graphics tablet is a definite advantage) and send it to them with an invitation to sign a petition advocating for animal rights.
The web site, created by Clemenger Blue Melbourne, is part of an ongoing campaign encouraging members of the public to sign a declaration in support of animal welfare to be taken to the United Nations for adoption.

Louise Paton, senior account manager at Clemenger Blue said: “The campaign is as simple as letting people know that all it takes is a drop of ink – their signature – to change the lives of animals worldwide”.

“The idea behind the website is to draw whacky portraits of your friends and show them that beauty isn’t about the way you look, it’s about the way you act. It’s a fun way of engaging people with a serious issue,” Paton said.

A number of Australian celebrities are lending their support to the campaign including actors Abbie Cornish and Pippa Black, musicians Augie March, models Erin McNaught and Imogen Bailey, swimmer Emily Seebohm and entertainers Wil Anderson and Kathleen de Leon Jones.
Traffic to the site is being supported by a partnership with The Body Shop, in which ‘declaration ink’ has has been packaged into the brand’s translucent bottles and branded as a product called ‘make yourself beautiful’.

The Principles of the Declaration
1. The welfare of animals shall be a common objective for all [states];

2. The standards of animal welfare attained by each [state] shall be promoted, recognized and observed by improved measures, nationally and internationally. [Whilst there are significant social, economic and cultural differences between societies, each should care for and treat animals in a humane and sustainable manner][in accordance with the principles of the Declaration];

3. All appropriate steps shall be taken by [states] to prevent cruelty to animals and to reduce their suffering;

4. Appropriate standards on the welfare of animals be further developed and elaborated such as, but not limited to, those governing the use and management of farm animals, companion animals, animals in scientific research, draught animals, wildlife animals and animals in recreation.

NAUGHTY Neighbours newcomer Imogen Bailey is single, sexy – and not afraid to put her money where her mouth is.

The sizzling actress may leave us hot and bothered Down Under, but she is also causing every bit as much trouble off-screen as she is on the box.

The model-turned-actress is a staunch animal rights campaigner whose antics include stripping naked in front of Buckingham Palace last year in protest of the use of fur on the Guards’ famous bearskin hats.

Spoilsport London policemen did not take too kindly to the Aussie beauty in her birthday suit, so she was almost arrested.She is now planning an even bigger stunt and plans to join forces with former Baywatch babe Pamela Anderson, 41, to make it a really big hit.

“You have to use pretty things to show the ugly things of life,” Imogen tells me during our exclusive chat.

“I have been involved with animal rights charity PETA for a while and am planning another stunt soon.

“I want to raise awareness about the use of animals during the testing of drugs.

“There is no excuse for it these days. When science is so far advanced, we really shouldn’t be torturing innocent animals. So if it means stripping naked then I will.

“Sex sells in all industries and if we can make the traffic stop and people pay attention, then we have a chance of getting the message across.

“Pamela wrote to me a while ago, congratulating me on the work I had been doing, so hopefully we will be doing something together soon.”

Imogen, 31, feels as passionately about animal rights as she does about the rest of her career and says she is willing to risk her job to stand up for what she believes.

“I am not one of these celebrities who puts my name to something just because it’s cool,” she insists.

“If I support something I do it for real – even if that lands me in trouble with my bosses.”

Thankfully for those in charge at the Aussie soap, Imogen puts as much passion into her role as Nicola West as she does in her campaigning.Over the coming months fans will get to see just what this feisty blonde has to offer, including an HIV scare and murder. And Imogen warns that there will be a few men who will bite off more than they can chew when they try to take on her alter ego.

She adds: “Nicola arrived on Ramsay Street with a suitcase full of trouble.“She is emotionally complicated and needs the validation of a man to survive, but she chews them up and spits them out!

“You will soon be seeing lots of tantrums and tears and I can say that there are diff-icult times ahead for her.”

So how does she feel about being labelled the soap’s newest sex kitten?

Imogen, who has graced the cover of FHM magazine in 28 countries around the world, takes it all in her stride.

She laughed: “That kind of label doesn’t hurt the ego, does it? It always gives me the giggles when people see that because I know that they don’t see me first thing in the morning when I look a state!

“I’m not the sex bomb people think I am. But if it gets more people tuning into the show then that’s fine by me.”

Luvvies usually wait until the awards season to slap each other (and themselves) on the backs, but Neighbours actress Imogen Bailey just can't keep her mouth shut when it comes to praising her Ramsay Street colleagues.

The actress, who recently finished her stint in the Aussie soap playing Nicola West, heaped praise on workmates Ryan Maloney - aka Toadie - and Alan Fletcher, better known as Karl Kennedy.

Bailey told Digital Spy that Maloney "could not have been more welcoming" and is "a beautiful person", while Fletcher "was really helpful too".

"I can honestly say Neighbours has the kindest, most generous and the most passionate cast and crew I've ever worked with," she added.

Bailey made a name for herself as a model, and also appeared in the Australian versions of Celebrity Big Brother and Celebrity Survivor.

Her nice comments make a pleasant change from thesps ripping lumps out of each other, we suppose.

Imogen Bailey feared that she would not be accepted on Neighbours due to her old career as a bikini model, she has revealed.

The actress signed up to play Nicola West on the Aussie soap earlier this year. Producers offered her the part, which is her first high-profile acting role, after she became a household name with appearances on Celebrity Big Brother and Celebrity Survivor in Australia.

"There was a really small part of me that was worried about how I would be accepted in the show because of the modelling work," Bailey told the Daily Record.

"But I'm not some kind of party girl. I'm more of a nerd because I'm really focused on the work. And when I started in modelling, it was really by accident because I'm very petite at 5ft 2in and very shy, so I was really surprised to be asked.

"But I have loved being on Neighbours because the cast are really great and have given me such a warm welcome."

Bailey added that she has been working hard to improve her acting skills since she joined the programme.

She admitted: "I am such a nerd, because you'll see me in the green room making notes and reading all the scripts, even if I'm not in that scene, because I want to learn so much about it all."

She is a household name in Australia for dozens of sexy cover shoots, reality TV shows and several hit singles.

But, on a flying trip to Scotland this weekend to promote the soap for channel Five, Imogen, 31, denied that she was just a pretty face.

"There was a really small part of me that was worried about how I would be accepted in the show because of the modelling work," she said. "But I'm not some kind of party girl.

"I'm more of a nerd because I'm really focused on the work.

"And when I started in modelling, it was really by accident because I'm very petite at 5ft 2in and very shy, so I was really surprised to be asked.

"But I have loved being on Neighbours because the cast are really great and have given me such a warm welcome.

"I am such a nerd, because you'll see me in the green room making notes and reading all the scripts, even if I'm not in that scene, because I want to learn so much about it all."

Imogen first appeared on our screens earlier this summer as Nicola, the sexy and trouble-making sister of Miranda Parker.

Her character is one of the new arrivals in the soap which has been glammed up in recent months. In Australia, they don't come much more glamorous than the Canberraborn Ms Bailey.

Since starting out as a marketing officer in her early twenties, she got a break in modelling when one of her contacts in the industry asked her to do a sports magazine shoot. That was such a success that she was soon one of the most in-demand magazine models in the southern hemisphere.

That led to being crowned the unofficial queen of reality TV, with stints in the Ozzie Celebrity Big Brother, Celebrity Survivor, where she came second, and their version of Dancing On Ice.

But like most models, all Imogen really wanted to do was act and, after a year of acting classes, she made her debut in small TV projects and the superhero movie Man-Thing, which she followed with an indie film, Feed, where she won plaudits for her part as a deaf woman.

And late last year, she was signed up for the Neighbours, where she defied the expectations of the casting directors to successfully audition for the role of Nicola.

She said: "I got really great television experience with the reality shows. I think they can be a good way to get experience as long as you pick the right ones.

"Like most Australians, I'd always loved Neighbours and, when the role came up, they actually didn't want to see me for it at first because Nicola is a very complicated character with a lot going on, and they wanted someone more experienced.

"But my agent told them I'd been doing a year of acting classes, and persuaded them to see me. I auditioned for the part last December, and two days later I got the part."

IMOGEN continued: "What I love about Nicola is that she comes in as a sexy siren and is a big trouble-maker.

"But you'll see that a few months down the line there are some real heart-wrenching storylines.

"I was quite nervous at first, because we are all aware of just how popular the show is at home and especially over here.

"But people have been telling me it's been going well and that I'm doing all right.

"One woman said to me that I was doing a good job because she hated my guts, which is a great reaction for my character."

With her petite figure, pretty face and music interests, the obvious comparison for Imogen's career is Kylie.

"To just be mentioned in the same breath as Kylie is a real honour, because she is incredible," said Imogen. "Everyone at Neighbours, and most people in Australia, are still very fond of Kylie and everything she has achieved.

"And personally, as someone who is 5ft 2in, it's great to see someone who is also petite doing so well because I was always told that I was too small to be a model."

But while music is one of her biggest passions, Imogen is not planning to follow the well-worn pop path of Kylie and other Ramsay Street stars, who headed straight to the British charts. But she doesn't rule anything out.

"I don't want to use Neighbours as a launching pad for a pop career," she said. "At the moment, I am just focused on doing well and getting established.

"But the music industry is so competitive that if you have any edge at all, like being in Neighbours or a film or whatever, you'd be mad not to use it.

"If the right project and the right song came along, and if the planets or whatever align the right way, then you never know.

"I'm in the UK for three weeks and I might talk to some music people here. And I might play around in the studio, or I might not. We'll see what happens."

Imogen's Neighbours promotional tour brought her to Scotland for the Edinburgh Television Festival last night.

"The lovely Ian Smith, who plays Harold, was over here recently, and he told us all how well-loved the programme is over here, and how much he loved Scotland," she said.

"When I got off the plane at Edinburgh, this girl came up to me and asked for my autograph. It was so nice to be recognised on the other side of the world.

"I hope I get to see some of Edinburgh. But the thing I wanted to see was men in kilts, and I saw some of them at the airport, so that's taken care of."

Imogen, who says she's too much of a workaholic at the moment for a boyfriend, started her modelling career in men's magazines with bikini and underwear shoots.

She has no illusions about what many people will think of that.

But she is proud of her 10 years in the business, and she used her fame to do as much charity and campaigning work as she could.

Afervent supporter of PETA (People for Ethical Treatment of Animal), Imogen has highlighted animal rights issues all over the world, including making a protest at Buckingham Palace.

She said: "One of the funny things about doing PETA work and other campaigns and then doing a lot of mens' mag stuff is that I've always had this internal debate.

"Am I being a powerful female or, as some people might think, objectifying myself to men? But it's been nice to do some sexy images that have a strong message.

"But in terms of what people think, I also don't blame anyone for thinking that way about me, because pictures can't speak.

"When people make a judgment on me, I'm OK about that. And sometimes it's fun to prove them wrong."

Ordinarily, fall is literally the biggest time of year for fashion magazines. But this fall, the season has a more … shall we say … literal meaning—as in, it looks like Anna Wintour is tumblin' down. Or at least her ad pages are! Yes, it seems that these tough economic times have hit even the fashion industry.

The September issue of Vogue will no doubt be full of the usual "fashions" and more animal skins than the Queen of Mean can count on her two grubby hands. But what will not be in the issue, at least not in the U.S. edition of Vogue, is the usual hefty number of advertisements.

According to this story, last year's Vogue had 50 more advertisement pages than the 2008 edition will have. Translation: dollar signs are not in season.

Earlier this year, we even offered financial help to Aretha Franklin so that she could keep her house—granted she hand over the furs. And now we’re trying to help bail Anna out. If she would like to accept one of our advertisements to help her fill those empty pages, we’re here. Perhaps our beautiful Eva Mendes ad? Or, maybe our racy Joanna Krupa ad or even our sexy Imogen Bailey ad! How about a little memorial of Anna Nicole Smith?

In the past, our ads have not been welcome at Vogue. Anna is far too friendly with the fur industry which anally electrocutes animals and bodies wrapped in fur skinned off the backs of fully conscious animals to accept them, but perhaps the downturn in the economy will mark the upswing of the moral code at Vogue?

Nackt und mit Pfeilen im Rücken: so protestiert die spanische Sängerin Alaska mit einer verruchten Anzeige gegen den Stierkampf. "Man müsste die Banderillas denjenigen in den Rücken stecken, die behaupten, dem Stier würde so etwas nicht weh tun", so die Aussage von Alaska bei der Vorstellung eines Kalenders in Madrid, mit dem sie für die Abschaffung des Stierkampfes eintritt.

Die in Mexico aufgewachsene Sängerin findet das „Spektakel“ nicht akzeptabel und unterstützt PETA Europa in ihrer internationalen Kampagne gegen Stierkämpfe.

Ähnlich wie Alaska auf dem Bildmotiv, hatten am vergangenen Samstag 50 internationale PETA-Aktivisten vor Pamplonas Arena protestiert. Fast nackt, blutend und von Banderillas durchbohrt, machten sie die begeisterten Touristen und auch Einwohner auf das Leid der Stiere aufmerksam. Die Organisation hofft auch, dass Paderborn, die Partnerstadt von Pamplona, das geplante Pamplonafest absagen wird so lange diese Stadt mit Barbarei noch Geld verdient.

Inzwischen sprechen sich mehr als zwei Drittel aller Spanier gegen Stierkämpfe aus. Fast nur Touristen halten die grausame Prozedur aufrecht, da sie nicht wissen, was sich in der Arena tatsächlich abspielt und hinterher entsetzt sind von dem Leid, das den Stieren angetan wird. Das grausame Quälen und langsame Abschlachten von Stieren zur Unterhaltung des Menschen stößt weltweit auf zunehmendes Unverständnis.

Warum sind Prominente wie Alaska, Imogen Bailey und Glamourgirl Davorka bereit, alle Hüllen für die Stiere von Pamplona fallen zu lassen? Sie möchten Touristen über die nackte Wahrheit der Grausamkeiten der Stierkämpfe aufklären. Der Stier wird schon vor dem Rennen mit Elektroschocks und spitzen Stöcken gereizt, danach in der Arena gequält und geschlachtet. Model Erin McNaught has completed work on Aussie soap Neighbours.

The former Australian Miss Universe representative joined the show as Sienna Cammeniti last year. She will be seen on UK screens for the first time later this month.

McNaught was brought in by the soap's chiefs in a bid to boost flagging ratings in Australia. They also recruited bikini model Imogen Bailey (Nicola West) and former Australian Idol contestant Dean Geyer (Ty Harper).

However, sources have told the Herald Sun newspaper that Erin "seemed to be counting down the days" until her contract expired. She has now returned home to Sydney.

Natalie Blair (Carmella Cammeniti) and Pippa Black (Elle Robinson) are also leaving the soap later this year.

In 1994, a groundbreaking PETA U.S. investigation revealed the hideous cruelty of the fur industry, including the gruesome genital electrocutions taking place on a California chinchilla farm. The investigation resulted in the first case of cruelty to animals to be filed against a furrier. Investigators documented that chinchillas were hung upside-down by alligator clamps attached to their ears and labia or anuses. The animals were trembling and fearfully silent until a powerful jolt of electricity froze their movements. In other instances, animals had rods jammed into their mouths or anuses and were electrocuted. It takes at least 100 chinchilla pelts to make just one full-length coat.

Launched on the 5th Febuary 2008, the Earn Your Wings campaign is the latest in a series of Anti-fur campaigns by Imogen and animal rights group, PETA.
This isn't the first time that Imogen has been an angel for animals; she is an avid fur foe who wants to bring attention to the hell that animals endure when they are trapped and raised for their fur. Animals like foxes, rabbits and even our domestic favorites like dogs and cats are bred in cruel factory farms in horrific conditions before being skinned (sometimes alive) and discarded in trash piles.

Australian models are realising the hard way that their photographs and images are not always their own. Now a top model is campaigning for their rights.

A legal secretary and part-time model called Candy has become one of many young Australian models to be ripped off, her photos stolen and used by others.

She found her picture being used to represent someone called "Samantha" from an escort agency.

"My photos have been found on an escort site and also previously on a racy dating site," Candy said.

"I think it's appalling. It's misleading and deceptive behaviour and it can be damaging to my reputation."

The demand for cover girls has never been higher, leading to a huge trade in the unauthorised sale of model photographs without the model's permission.

Imogen Bailey is one of Australia's most photographed models. Now she is fighting to protect new, young models from being ripped off, particularly by unscrupulous photographers.

"It's your face, it's your body, it's your image and they're your rights. but if you don't ask, you don't get," Imogen said.

"They will get you to take your top off. they will not want you to sign a piece of paper, they will want to have the rights and they will wait until you are on Home and Away or until you have a single out, and they will sell them to magazines."

"I know I spend more time trying to control my image and trying to stop old pictures being sold than I do actually now in front of the camera."

The editor of Zoo magazine Paul Merrill has come under fire for using saucy pictures without a model's permission.

But if the model doesn't buy the shots, the copyright belongs to the photographer, who can sell them whenever he or she likes.

"If they've posed naked for a photographer, there is only so much help and protection we can give them if the photographer is touting the pictures around to different magazines," Mr Merrill said.

"These days more and more models are very savvy and they control their rights. If there is a set that has been done and the model has waived her rights over them, then yes, absolutely we'd use them."

Lara Bingle, the face of Australia's tourism campaign, is suing a photographer for selling old photos to a magazine.

Miss Universe contestant Erin McNaught was almost rubbed out when old topless shots emerged, while Home and Away star Isabel Lucas had old bikini shots used in another magazine.

It is also nearly impossible to police their use on the Internet. Type a model's name into a search engine and hundreds of photos appear.

They can be stolen or reused and no-one would know.

"I think the lesson for models and especially for anybody who wants to get into television, wants to become a singer or an actor after they done modelling, is to keep control of your career," Imogen said.

THE growth of men's magazines has increased demand for sexy covergirls - but models say this means an increased trade in unauthorised pictures, forcing them to fight controversial copyright laws.

A number of high-profile Sydney models have told The Sunday Telegraph they were humiliated by cover shots in popular magazines after they turned down offers to appear inthe magazines.

Zoo editor Paul Merrill said last week it was part of the magazine's strategy to run controversial covers.

"It's a weekly magazine, and we have to put girls who are being talked about on the cover. We have to break new girls, rather than rehash the same old ones."

Lara Bingle, 19, is the first model to take photographers to court over the sale of old pictures of her to Zoo.

Bingle became a household name after she presented a TV commercial in a bikini, and is again clad in a bikini to promote the Ashes cricket, but argues she is entitled to have control over her own image.

"It's an awful thing to happen, both professionally and personally. I was really angry when I saw what had been done, especially with the text they had added," she says.

The first issue of Zoo featuring Bingle on its front cover announced: "World exclusive! Bloody Hell! TV adgirl Lara Bingle's first-ever men's mag shoot."

Zoo used her image, without consent, on two other occasions.

Zoo, which sells 85,000 copies a week, is part of a broader trend. It competes with Ralph and FHM for enticing cover shots.

Home And Away star Isabel Lucas suffered a similar fate. After failing to convince the 21-year-old to appear in Ralph, editor Michael Pickering bought old images of her in a bikini.

"If I didn't run the photos, the opposition would have," Pickering explained later.

Imogen Bailey, 29, advises aspiring models and their parents to be aware there are loopholes.

"If the photographer has the power card and owns the copyright, unless it's for advertising purposes, they actually can go ahead and sell your images without your permission to magazines, newspapers, websites and whatever they want to do.

"Legal bills are expensive, so the only answer is to have an upfront contractual agreement - not just with the photographer, but with the magazine.

"Quite often, girls are lost in the aura of their first cover and forget to protect themselves with the right contract.

"I will no longer work with a photographer unless I own equal share of the copyright.

"Imogen Bailey is my business, and every picture of me that's in a magazine puts my shares up."

Erin McNaught, who nearly lost her quest for the Miss Universe title after old topless pictures of her appeared, says the controversy made her rethink her own beliefs.

"The thought of taking legal action did cross my mind, but I thought my profile wasn't big enough to warrant any action against them."

I'm shy really, says Imogen Bailey

SHE'S diplomatic about it, but Imogen Bailey won't deny there were cat fights between her and witch Fiona Horne on remote Vanuatu this year.

The two locked horns on Celebrity Survivor, and it's fair to say they didn't the leave the island as friends.
"Let me say I have a lot of respect for Fiona and if we met on the outside we probably would get along," Bailey said in Melbourne yesterday.

"But we did clash, and she is a very strong personality.

"I'm quite a shy person. When you see the magazine covers, that's not the real Imogen, so I found the confrontation hard.

"It wasn't made any easier when you have a group of strong personalities and there is no food."

While Horne has slammed host Ian "Dicko" Dickson, saying his behaviour was "unnecessarily derogatory and sexist", Bailey was all positive.

"Dicko has a huge heart and is an extremely caring person. I think he did an amazing job," she said.

FORMER Idol meanie Dicko has been slammed for being "derogatory" and "sexist" by a contestant on his latest reality show, Celebrity Survivor.

Dicko has come under fire from contestant Fiona Horne for being sexist in his hosting gig on new Channel 7 ploy for ratings, Celebrity Survivor.

White witch Horne, one of the D-list celebrities sent to Vanuatu last month to take part in the series, said Dicko's insulting comments on the set were out of line.

"I found a lot of his behaviour to be unnecessarily derogatory and sexist,'' Horne said.

"He said deliberately provocative things. He basically said the girls can't look after themselves and needed a man to rescue them.''

Horne said she was disgusted by Dickson's cheap shots at the female contestants.

"He was doing himself a discredit. I don't know why he does it because he is smarter and funnier than that,'' she said.

"I don't think that (making sexist and derogatory comments) is humourous. It is boring. I clashed with him.''

But while Dicko copped it from Hornebags, he received plenty of support yesterday from another Celebrity Survivor contestant, Imogen Bailey.

"Dicko has a huge heart and is an extremely caring person,'' Bailey said.

"I think he did an amazing job.''

Wearing a low-cut dress and puckering up for a pout, Gabrielle Richens turned up the heat on an otherwise chilly Curl Curl beach during a shoot for Celebrity Survivior yesterday.

But while the series small screen debut in two weeks time may be hotly anticipated by reality TV lovers, the Pleasure Machine is awaiting something far more, um, pleasurable than battling the elements on an island in Vanuatu.

Richens _ who famously lured Canterbury forward Solomon Haumono away from his $200,000-a-year contract to London _ has cast her spell on Hollywood star Shemar Moore.

Filming starts on Aussie 'Celebrity Survivor'

A celebrity version of Survivor has begun filming in Vanuatu for Australia's Seven Network.

The format of the series is expected to be similar to the original, but with well-known Aussie faces in place of unknowns.

Hosting is Ian 'Dicko' Dickson (My Restaurant Rules, Australian Idol), while celeb contestants include Gabrielle “The Pleasure Machine” Richens, former ironman Guy Leech, politician David Oldfield and model Imogen Bailey.

"With Celebrity Survivor, we've been able to convince some pretty surprising candidates into doing this show," said Tim Worner, Seven’s director of programming and production. "The celebrities are barred from communicating with anyone off the island while they are there but Dicko has been in touch to let us know he's been giving them a few surprises of his own."

Survivor was previously adapted for the Aussie market but was axed after one season due to bad ratings. Vanuatu has previously been used as a location for the original US series.

Channel 7 yesterday announced Celebrity Survivor . Yes, Channel 7 - not Channel 9 - will screen the program, thanks to a legal loophole in the contract with the creators of the original Survivor .

Just like Channel 10's Skating With Celebrities , the star status of this batch of castaways is somewhat questionable. Gabrielle "The Pleasure Machine" Richen's, former ironman Guy Leech, politician David Oldfield and model Imogen Bailey have been announced so far, with a promise of more to come.

Daily Telegraph - Dicko to host Celebrity Survivor

THE last time Australia saw Ian "Dicko'' Dickson on the small screen he was sashaying across a dance floor in frills and tight pants.

Television's resident larrikin's latest venture is to host the Seven Network's new reality program Celebrity Survivor.

On the back of the recently launched variety show It Takes Two and the top-rating Dancing With the Stars, Seven has pulled more celebrities out of the bag.

Personalities including Gabrielle ``The Pleasure Machine'' Richens, former ironman Guy Leech, NSW politician David Oldfield and model Imogen Bailey were shipped off to Vanuatu late last week to battle the elements.

Stepping out of their comfort zones and into the wildness, each star will work against the other with no tents, sleeping bags, tools or food in a battle for the best star survivor.

Seven hopes the program will be a ratings winner and will announce more contestants soon.

``With Celebrity Survivor, we've been able to convince some pretty surprising candidates into doing this show,'' said Tim Worner, Seven's director of programming and production.

``The celebrities are barred from communicating with anyone outside the island while they are there but Dicko has been in touch to let us know he's been giving them a few surprises of his own.''

With just the clothes on their backs and one favourite item, the stars will be voted off one by one with only one winner.

It is believed the winning celebrity will spend a total of three weeks on the island.

``These celebrities are used to red carpets and star treatment - they have no idea how tough this shoot is going to be,'' said David Mason, Celebrity Survivor's series producer.

``They are in for the shock of their lives.''

While Nine has the rights to screen the US version of Survivor, Seven have the rights to a local version.

Celebrity Survivor joins Seven's mid-year programs that includes new Aussie series The Real Seachange and True Blue and the returning local series True Stories, hosted by Anna Coren.

American smash hits Greys Anatomy and 24 return next month.

Stafford – Disguised as a “bear” and waving a sign which reads, “God Save the Bears”, a People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) protester will make sure Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II doesn’t forget there is a growing call for her to switch to faux fur for the Household Guards’ bearskin hats. As part of an international campaign, PETA’s “bear” will follow the Queen during her walkabout in Stafford's Market Square this morning. The “bear” will encourage Her Majesty to call off the slaughter of Canada’s black bears for the Queen’s Guards’ ceremonial bearskin hats and replace the fur with modern synthetic materials.

It can take the entire hide of one bear to make just one guard’s headpiece. The skins come from bears who are shot in Canada. Many bears are shot several times before they die, while some escape the hunters and bleed to death. When mother bears are killed, orphaned cubs, who cannot survive on their own, are left behind.

After months of campaigning, PETA Europe reached the negotiating table with the British Ministry of Defence (MoD) and is now working with several faux-fur manufacturers to find a suitable alternative to real bear skins; the first trialled faux-fur hats were deemed unacceptable by the MoD. Although this is a step in the right direction, Queen Elizabeth II and the MoD continue to allow bears to be killed for these hats while the trials are underway.

“Queen Elizabeth II has had to modernise many things ever since Princess Diana expressed her opposition to the wearing of fur”, says PETA Europe Managing Director Ingrid E. Newkirk. “It is time she forbade the killing of bears for her guards’ hats because cruelty has no place in the modern world.”

PETA Europe has enlisted high-profile support from Imogen Bailey, Sir Roger Moore, Morrissey, Julian Clary, Pamela Anderson, Twiggy, Amanda Holden, Hayley Mills and others in calling for a ban on bear fur in the Household Guards’ headwear.

Australian supermodel Imogen Bailey has laid claim to the title of Australia's sexiest model and graced magazine covers from Down Under to continental Europe and the U.K. Now, supermodel and actress Imogen Bailey has posed au naturel for a brand-new ad for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) Asia-Pacific, which aims to draw attention to the cruelty to animals inherent in the fur industry. Shown kneeling down and strategically covered only by the bunny she's holding, the ad—which is in English and Korean—carries the tagline "Hands Off the Buns! … No Fur."

"I'll gladly bare my skin if it will help save animals' skins," says Imogen, who was featured on the Australian version of the TV show Celebrity Big Brother and has appeared on stage in The Vagina Monologues. "Buying anything with fur—even if it's "just a little trim"—supports one of the most gruesome industries on the planet."

Korea is one of the world's leading fur consumers. Animals trapped in the wild for their fur often suffer for days before they are stomped or bludgeoned to death. Animals on fur farms are confined to tiny, filthy cages before they are poisoned, gassed, or electrocuted or have their necks broken. PETA has obtained undercover video footage showing how fur farmers in China—now the world's leading fur producer—swing foxes and raccoon dogs by their hind legs and smash their heads on the ground, breaking the animals' necks but leaving them panting, blinking, and conscious as they are skinned alive.

This isn't the first time that Imogen has helped PETA help animals. She posed for an ad calling for a tourist boycott of Thailand until the Thai government acts to protect elephants, and she lent her voice to PETA Europe's campaign against the use of real bear fur in the hats worn by the British queen's guards. For her outstanding efforts to fight animal abuse, Imogen was presented with PETA's 25th Anniversary International Humanitarian Award in 2005.

Wow, the year has gone so fast! I am right now recovering from jetlag after returning from a trip this week, where I spent a few weeks in Hamburg & dropped into London for a few days on the way back. I was shooting a lingerie catalogue in Hamburg, then I had meetings in London & tried my best to avoid the freezing weather!

I met with a lot of people to talk about upcoming projects so I'll keep you posted as those develop! Right now I'm spending a few days catching up on some paperwork and writing my column for Zoo Magazine.

I filmed an episode of Ready ... Steady ... Cook recently with my Skating on Thin Ice friend Peter Everett, & the fun Chloe Maxwell. That will air at 2pm on the 9th March, on Channel 10.

Whilst shooting the TV commercial for Zoo Magazine I had an interview with two of the life guards doing Bondi Rescue for ten so that will be on soon too. I have to say I enjoyed doing this interview more than most!!! Watch for Bondi Rescue on Channel 10!

IF you think the first edition of Zoo Weekly, out today, is raunchy, spare a thought for our British cousins.

Mag editor Paul Merrill told The Eye that the British version, which was launched two years ago, had one major difference.

"Men the world over are pretty much the same although the UK edition is a bit racier," he said.

"There's already a heritage of page three girls and that sort of thing in the UK, so the men there expect a little bit more flesh.

"The Aussie version is going to be a bit more balanced."

But that's not to say you won't see any flesh, boys.

Hey everyone,

Sorry it has taken me so long to write...I have been more busy than ever which is good...but has meant I have been working everyday without much time in between to write about my adventures. My other excuse is I've been writing draft after draft of my new column in Zoo Weekly!!

I am off to Germany next week to shoot a lingerie catalogue....they have used Naomi Campbell, Gisele Buchan and Victoria Styversent before me so it is very exciting. I'll try to post some pics here after the shoot.

Oh, and I had so much fun last week when I reunited with my injured Skating on Thin Ice co-star, Peter Everett, to record an episode of Ready Steady Cook recently opposite Chloe Maxwell. It will air in a few weeks so watch for it on Channel 10!

I'm off to Queensland in the morning to interview some blokes for my column, then I fly to Germany for the lingerie shoot and will be back in Australia in a few weeks.

I had a great time while I was there & got to attend heaps of cool events including the Peta 25th Anniversary Gala with Hollywood celebs like Pamela Anderson, Alec Baldwin, Sharon Osbourne & Dennis Rodman!!!

PETA's 25th Anniversary Gala and Humanitarian Awards Show was a tremendous success that saw caring individuals from around the globe gather on a beautiful Hollywood night to celebrate PETA's 25 years of groundbreaking work for animals. More than 2,000 PETA supporters filled Paramount Studios' "New York Street" back lot for the celebration that featured top-notch entertainment and the country's best vegan cuisine.

Hosted by comedian Fred Willard and longtime PETA pal Pamela Anderson, the gala paid tribute to outstanding activists and celebrities who have worked hard to promote the rights of animals through PETA campaigns. PETA Humanitarian Awards were presented to Casey Affleck (his award was accepted by Joaquin Phoenix), Marc Bouwer, Lauren Shuler Donner and Richard Donner, John Feldmann, Heather Mills McCartney, Moby, Martina Navratilova, Ravi Shankar, P!nk, and Persia White. Special honorees Alec Baldwin and Morrissey received the Linda McCartney Memorial Award, which was established in 1999 in honor of Linda McCartney, who was a longtime animal rights activist and supporter of PETA. Additionally, the Nanci Alexander Activist Award was presented to Nathan Runkle, the Matthew Eyton Activist Award was presented to Dr. Steven Gross, and PETA Activist Awards were presented to graphic designers Hilly Beavan and Anthony Lawrence, who have shaped the look of PETA's iconic ad campaigns for more than two decades, and attorney Philip J. This label was re-confirmed this month when Imogen was voted in the top ten of FHM Magazine¹s 100 Sexiest Women in the World. Imogen has maintained a top ten position for the last three years here in Australia and has made the list in at least ten other countries. Her latest photo shoot is currently being featured on the cover of FHM in 28 countries worldwide!!! Standing at a tiny 5ft 3 inches she had successfully broken the mould of the 5ft 11 inches industry standard model.

From "Celebrity Big Brother" for Charity, to her smash hit "If You Want Me", all of this was nothing but preparation for what Supanova fans find most interesting, Imogen's acting debut, as southern girl "Sarah" in the Marvel comics film "Manthing", which was directed by Hollywood film director Brett Leonard ("Virtuosity", "Lawnmower Man", "Hideaway" and "T.Rex").

Brett Leonard saw great talent in Imogen when he first met her on the set of a music clip for Russell Crowe's 30 Odd Foot of Grunt with "Memorial Day". His strong beliefs saw him volunteer to direct Imogen¹s music clip for "If You Want Me". He then put Imogen through the casting process for "Manthing". She won the role of Sarah with flying colours and has since been approached with many scripts for upcoming film projects. "Manthing" also features a sassy rock chic version of "Tainted Love" performed by Imogen.

As Imogen continues to hit magazine covers, television screens and her publicity profile reaching front pages and features as far as Germany, France, Scotland, the UK, India, America and Asia, her personal website - www.imogenbailey.com - continues to attract 6 million hits a year.

Ice-Skating with Deni

I missed the rigorous training sessions from Sakting On Thin Ice, so I decided to catch up with Deni at the Macquarie Ice-Rink in Sydney. It was great to put into practise all the things we had learnt and we had a great day of skating.

I can't wait to get back on the ice again :)

I know some of you will be disappointed but I am going to stick with the brown hair for a while. So you'll have to be content with this FHM shoot done a few months ago!

A pain in the b ... back!

This week has been a lot slower than last - because I couldn't move! I've spent the week recovering from damage to ligaments in my back from the final week of training for the show. CJ has so kindly put a pic in the Skating On Thin Ice Blog of me getting a painful massage in the final show.

I have to say it was worth it though, with the night being such a wonderful experience that I am honored to have been a part of. Disney tells such magical stories and getting to play a role in The Little Mermaid is something I'll never forget.

I did have a couple of tumbles during the final performance (thanks again CJ for publishing pics of me falling over!!), but the audience were very forgiving of us - the novice skaters.

More next week when i've recovered ;p

What a week!

wow I can't believe its only 1 more week until we go for our spots in Disney on Ice! I'm so nervous and really don't know if I will be ready in time, but I'm giving it my best shot!

One of you has made a comment on this blog that reminded me why I'm doing this.

If the kids from Canteen can get on with life when they have real problems to face, we can get over a few bumps and bruises.

Thank you so much for your support everyone. I am so lucky to have so much encouragement around me & I hope I can do you proud!!

As you saw on last nights show, we are now rehearsing for our roles - I'm hoping to master my role in Under The Sea - a scene from The Little Mermaid where I get lifted in the air by one of the Disney skaters. If you think it is scary learning to skate, I can tell you its scarier being held 2 metres above the ice with David and James practising their sword routine nearby!!

Catch me on Kerrie-Ann?

This morning while we were training, we chatted with Kerrie-Ann from channel 9's morning show live. Deni Hines showed some of her amazing moves, already skating on one leg, while Vince Sorrenti and I did our best to skate in a straight line.

The show has been so much fun so far, and I am getting to know everyone through a problem we all share - sore bottoms!!!! I've fallen on my backside more times than I can count, but everyone tries to encourage each other.

Deni is by far the stand out talent so far, but this morning she fell fair on her bottom for, I think, the first time - much to Vince's amusement!! Like I said, we all try to encourage each other!!

"Beginning with an intensive “Skate Camp”, these ice novices will put their fitness and agility to the test in a gruelling program led by former Olympic figure skater, Liz Cain.

In preparation for their final performance, Disney on Ice performance director Sue Brodie, also known as “The Ice Queen”, will give the troupe critiques on their progress each week. Any celebrities who do not meet the high Disney performance standard by week four might not be able to perform with the company.

The cast will train at the ice rink in the recently renamed ‘Entertainment Quarter’, adjacent to the Fox Film Studios in Sydney and their final performance will take place on Friday, July 22 in Newcastle, where Disney on Ice is scheduled to perform. In between icy training sessions, the group will take part in flexibility and dance workshops with the Sydney Dance Company as well as general fitness training led by the five ice skating coaches under Liz Cain’s direction.

The Skating on Thin Ice stars will also have an added incentive to perform, with the opportunity to take part in special ice challenges to raise money for CanTeen, the Australian organisation for young people living with cancer."

Wow its been a busy couple of months!

I've done shoots for an FHM cover in South Africa, Ukraine and Romania ... plus a feature in the UK and Turkey FHM's!! I am excited to be receiving email from so many different countries!

A couple of weeks ago I did a shoot for Black & White, which is coming out in about 2 months. I am so happy to be shooting with such a beautiful and artistic mag again - and it has been shot by my favorite photographer Bob Watson.

This week I started shooting Skating on thin ice. I am sharing a green room with former Miss World Belinda Green ... so I am in good company!!! Next door is Singer Deni Heines and past Funniest Home Videos Host, Kim Kilby ... down the hall is Big Brother's Reggie Bird and super hottie David Whitehill.

Reggie Bird is a delight to work with she is so down to earth and her laughter is contagious. Peter Everett reminds me of a naughty little boy with a big kind heart!!

We shot our promotional pictures on the weekend and Peter and I posed for a shot together ...we were both draped in fur and he was cuddled up to me....he screamed out.."wow Imogen Bailey has a rock hard tummy" haha!! thanks peter at least now I know those hours of pilates are paying off!!!!

Post skating on thin ice I will be heading back to London so stay tuned ....

I'm going to be busy for the next few weeks, skating on thin ice (or my butt!) but I'll try to post as often as I can!

The stars are taking to the ice rink in the latest celebrity reality challenge

For most of us, ice-skating is a sport we tried at school, then left behind with our teen dreams and text books. But that could change when we watch Skating On Thin Ice, a scary new prospect for the stars who’ve signed up.

“I’m very nervous,” admits designer Peter Everett, who’s far more comfortable with a paintbrush on shows like Renovation Rescue. “They told me, ‘Pete, it’s for the kids.’ I said, ‘I don’t have kids.’ They said, ‘No, the CanTeen kids!’ So it’s a good cause – I have to do it!”

Olympic skaters from around the world will put the stars through their paces for hours each day, and they’ll also be doing weight-lifting, and dance classes at the Sydney Dance Company. It’s all in preparation for a live show at the end of the series, ticket proceeds of which will go to CanTeen, an organisation that helps kids living with cancer. But right now, Peter’s just hoping it will help him lose weight.

Skating on Thin Ice Announced!

You may have seen the ads on Channel 9 starting this week, advertising an upcoming new reality show where I will be joining entertainers like Peter Everett and others who I can't say yet.

The show is called Skating on Thin Ice. We will be getting trained by world renowned trainers to teach us how to figure skate, then we'll compete in some kind of contest to see who is the best ice skater!

'EastEnders' set for 'sex up'

EastEnders' producers have decided to 'sex up' the show in a bid to boost its flagging ratings. In all, a total of six new characters are understood to be lined up for Walford over the coming year.

Early indications suggest that one of the first will be new nurse Naomi who was rumoured to be played by Imogen Bailey. DS subsequently revealed that the Aussie model hadn't been approached since casting. It has not yet been confirmed who will assume the role.

Dawn, a long-lost relative of the Miller family, looks to be second in the string of signings, but again, it is not known who will act the part.

Back in April, Joel Beckett - Jake Moon in the BBC soap - also confirmed he would be returning after a short break. Earlier this year, he and his co-star, Jake Maskall (Danny Moon), were sensationally axed after only three months on our screens.

Tony Jordan, the show's leading writer, told The Mirror: "What Albert Square is missing at the moment is some totty, both male and female."He added: "We're going to up the totty count with some great new characters, six in total. I want to get back to the days when we had girls going out and having a laugh, a bit like we had with Tiffany and Bianca. And they are going to need some blokes to play with."

A spokeswoman commented: "A number of storylines in development will introduce new characters."

Tell us about the single.
I actually have MoS Autralia to thank for that one. Basically I was looking for material and my name was put forward for the track. I had already heard the instrumental version of the track, which was a great club success and had heard Michael Woods' 'Warrior'. My name was put forward and basically Michael asked me to demo the vocals and I did and so it all just kind of was put together from there.

Did you have any creative input on this track?
I do write lyrics and I just came back from Europe promoting the single, and I was working with some great producers there doing some co-writes and putting down some original material for an album that we are working on. From a creative point of view I chose this song because lyrically it was in sync with where I come from and the way I write, but I didn't produce the track, I didn't write it, so I did just bring vocals to this particular one.

The thing you're doing in the UK is a solo album?
Yes.

Have you always wanted to do music?
Definitely, it's for me the reason I'm known for my modelling. I guess what a lot of people don't know - the reason I got into modelling was in order to establish a profile and the reason I did that was because these days kids grow up with free music and in order to get a deal or a record company budget you really have to be a bankable investment. I think having a profile had probably helped that along to the point of where I still have to sing and fit the project but I think that it was definitely an added ingredient that helped.

Your career thus far has been focused on your appearance - how do you plan to shift the focus onto your music?
I think that these days as far as the music industry goes I think that the visual mediums as such - clips and pictures - really are from an artist point of view, an opportunity to put your creative input into another aspect of your music career. I think they are very important tools and tools that are almost essential these days of you look at people like Madonna and Christina Aguelira and people like that who are absolute geniuses at utlising the visual medium. So I think that modelling was a great training ground but I think that when it comes down to hearing the song on the radio and whether you like it or not, yes looks help and yes it helps if you're able to use those in the visual side, but at the end of the day you can't fool someone else's ears with your looks. So I think it helps, but it's not the only thing.

Is dance music what you ultimately want to be doing?
The reason I chose to do this particular song is purely because I loved the song, it wasn't a genre-based decision. I have a really broad CD collection and really broad taste in music, I love to dance and I love this song and that's why I chose it. But on the long term side of things the next move for me with the album will have a bit of a rock flavour to it. I won't say that I won't do anymore dance tracks 'cause I'm also working on doing a follow up with Michael Woods and I never say never. I also try - I think people have seen with my career, which has been varied - I never try to stick myself in a particular box and stay there.

Do you go out much?
I don't go out as much as I'd like to at the moment - because I have a hectic schedule - when I do go out I like to dance so I like to go where there's great music so that's pretty much all I like to do when I go out.

Where would you like your career to end up ideally?
I think for me, I try and not hold great expectations as far as success level goes. What I do is, I remember two years ago when I wanted to get a cover of a certain magazine and then I got it. I've had steps along the way where I've been able to go okay, you know, I've done that now and that's great. I wanted to have one song that I heard in a club and saw people dance to and for me, 'If you want me' has really given me that. So I just kind of feel my way like that and let my career blossom and I'm sure at some points it's slipped down but I just kind of let it go and do what it will and just be happy with what comes.

Okay, where would you not like it to go?
I think I would be really disappointed if the music didn't work 'cause it's really a passion for me. I love writing and I love singing, I love performing so if the music was to be a dismal failure, you would probably find that I would still have a house somewhere with a studio and still be working on my music.

Who are your favourite artists?
There's probably no one I look to as such for direction as far as inspiration goes but as far as people that I look to and admire, I would say at the moment I am a huge Beyonce fan, 50 cent, Eminem I think is an absolute genius and Bono I think is an amazing songwriter. Robbie Williams, Christina Aguelira. There's so many people.

Do you ever get sick of people looking at you?
Everybody has good days and everybody has bad days and if it's a rainy day and you'd rather be at home snuggled up under your doona watching soap operas or whatever, I think that yeah it is hard because everybody doesn't have every single day where they're happy and chirpy and want to be out there. I think that's part of this career, it's part of the job and if you didn't think that you were going to get the attention in that way and you weren't prepared for it then it's a journey that you shouldn't take.

For me, just like anybody else in this job, I'm a praise-driven person and I find that when I do get those situations and someone comes up to me in the street, it always feels like a good thing to me cause it's like your boss tapping you on the back and saying you've done a great job and that it kind of like the fruit of motivation I guess.

Are you afraid of having your music judged by your appearance?
One of the things that I'm about, I am about going against the grain and at five foot two, to have had success in the modelling industry is a great body image issue to girls. Because it says that you don't have to be extremely tall to succeed in the modelling industry. For me, I'm just glad that I've been able to go against some of those things and still be happy in what I do - I'm very in touch with my sexuality which is why when I do the sexy stuff I do it because I love it. Cause I want girls to know that it's okay to do that, it's not a bad thing, so I've been lucky enough not to have had negative stuff. I'm sure if I had a search on the Internet I might find something but I won't subject myself to that.
